An organisation that works with children owes the public more than good intentions. Our Child Protection Policy sets out staff conduct, recruitment screening, reporting obligations, and how anyone can raise a concern about us.
The policy
What it covers
The policy binds every member of staff, every volunteer, and every partner acting on our behalf. It covers conduct around children online and offline, background screening before anyone joins, mandatory reporting when concerns arise, and the consequences of breaching it. It also covers this website: no photograph of an identifiable child is published without documented consent.
Raising a concern about us
If you have a concern about the conduct of anyone connected to the HUG Project, contact us at [email protected] or through the contact form. Concerns are handled by senior leadership, and reporting a concern in good faith will never be held against you. If a child is in immediate danger, use the emergency numbers below instead.
